DPW: 1st Deputy Commissioner Nicoletti

Deputy Commissioner Nicoletti came before the Committee to discuss ID # 11365- Bond Act RB191- union Avenue, Harrison. This is a Bond Act in the amount of $275,000 that will fund design, construction management and construction associated with the rehabilitation of approximately .14 miles of roadway from 2,005 feet east of Mamaroneck Avenue to West Street including milling, resurfacing, concrete curb replacement, drainage repairs, new traffic loops, new pavement markings and related work. This road has an annual average daily count of 5,622 and is in need of rehabilitation to provide safe roadway for the traveling public. The Pavement Condition Index Rating (PCI) in 2016 was 54 and the roadway has continued to deteriorate. Design is anticipated to take six months and will be completed by in house staff and construction is estimated to take six months. With a motion by Legislator Barr and seconded by Legislator Parker the item was approved with a vote of 7-0.
